Being a mutable water sign, Pisces have a tendancy to change according to “outside conditions”, though they seem to be living in a world of imagination and dreams. Which means that they can either “move beyond the self” and into transcendance or into a world of escapism; they will either swim with or against the current.
Pisces are highly intuitive and are generally considered the most sensitive sign of the Zodiac. They don’t always know which feelings are theirs and which belong to others. They instantly “know” how others are feeling. Unconsciously they may take on these feelings, good or bad, and wonder how they went from feeling so good to being so depressed.
The twelfth sign is very artistic and a highly spiritual sign—not “religious” spirituality, but the need to have a connection with some higher power. If this need is not found they may turn to the negative side of their energy—escapism—and become to addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc.
Sensitive and perceptive Pisces can seemingly look into others’ souls and are always seeking their soulmate. As a result, they may be sorely disappointed when real people don’t live up to their lofty expectations. Once they find love, however, they seem to create a space apart from the rest of the world where only they and their loved one exist. You’ll know when you’re the object of a Pisces’ affections.
This sign tends to do well with other Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) but Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are hit-and-miss types; the relationship will either be successful or will leave behind a shattered Pisces. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are also compatible and will keep Pisces rooted just enough to keep their flights of fancy to a minimum.
Pisces need to be careful not to be taken in by those who would take advantage of them—the Fish sign is easy to trust and easy to hurt.
Pisces belongs to the twelfth house (a cadent house), which rules your subconscious and the unknown. Going by element, the twelfth sign is in Water, the house of endings, and rules the results of the life we choose.
